Behind the Scenes at Billy’s Book Club

The wind is blowing a hoolie here on Colonsay, putting my plans to gloss the window frames at the Cottage firmly on hold. Fortunately, there is plenty to keep me occupied at the desk.

Work continues behind the scenes at Billy’s Book Club and Stewart Independent Publishing Group. I am spending time on the website, revisiting existing pages and considering how to make it easier for readers to explore the books and the subjects behind them.

I am also researching my next release. This is the stage of reading, checking and following the evidence to see where it leads. There will be more to share once that work is further along, but I am pleased to be getting into the research.

Meanwhile, the increasing monthly sales figures have been a welcome encouragement. Building a small independent publishing business takes patience, and seeing more readers choosing our books gives me good reason to keep going.

To everyone who has bought or read a book, recommended one to a friend, or taken the time to browse this website: thank you. Your interest and support mean a great deal.

There is plenty still to do, and I will keep sharing updates as the work progresses. For today, it is back to the research, the website and a good cup of tea.

The glossing will resume when Colonsay allows it.
