At the far edge of the chamber, one of them did not move.

He watched the projection.

Not the system.

The data that had led to it.

The anomaly.

Still unresolved.

Still—

present.

“You are not considering the external factor,” he said.

The words landed.

Clear.

Precise.

Unwelcome.
